Mission Statement

The mission of the Neil Armstrong Program is to provide a continuum of services to meet the educational, social, emotional, and physical needs of the students.

Individual capabilities are supported by a positive teaching/learning environment in which each student is prepared to become a responsible and contributing member of society.

We are therefore committed to the following objectives:

         * To foster self-discovery, self-awareness, and             self-discipline;

       * To develop an awareness of and appreciation             for cultural diversity;

        * To stimulate intellectual curiosity and growth;

        * To provide fundamental career concepts and             skills;

        * To help students develop sensitivity to the             needs and values of others and respect for             individual and group differences;

        * To help each student strive for excellence             and instill a desire to reach his or her             potential;

        * To develop the fundamental skills which will             provide a basis for lifelong learning;

        * To be free of any sexual, cultural, ethnic, or             religious bias.
