Are you in search of a three-bedroom home in a quiet neighborhood? Consider a newly constructed three-bedroom home in the beautiful Meadows Subdivision. The home will be built by Mattoon High School’s building trades class. The class is under the direction of the talented Troy Haacke. The home includes an attached garage, a master bedroom and bath, an additional bathroom, closet space, a full kitchen and a spacious living room. We encourage those interested to submit their bids early in the bidding process because the more quickly a homeowner is found, the more opportunity to select colors and trim for the home. The house will be located on Lot 310 in Meadows Subdivision. The reserve bid is $179, 500. Bids will be accepted until 3 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2020. Bids must include a letter of preapproval of financing for the amount stated in the bid. Bids without preapproval of financing will not be considered. All bids need to be placed in a sealed envelope addressed to Tom Sherman, Business Manager, 1701 Charleston Ave. Mattoon, Illinois, 61938. The school board will select the winning bid July 14, 2020 at the monthly school board meeting.  The home in the photos is of the 2019-2020 home which already has an owner.  It was also constructed in the Meadows Subdivision.
