In accordance with Title IX regulations, Mattoon CUSD2 is committed to ensuring that no individual is discriminated against on the basis of sex in any of its education programs or activities. This policy encompasses, but is not limited to, employment, admissions, athletics, financial aid, and related areas.
For questions or concerns regarding Title IX, individuals may contact Mattoon CUSD2’s Title IX Coordinator, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights, or both. The Title IX Coordinator is Dr. David Skocy, Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources. The district’s nondiscrimination policy and grievance procedures are available on our website at [www.mattoon.k12.il.us] under Board Policies (2:265). Individuals wishing to report incidents that may involve sex discrimination or to file a complaint under Title IX may do so by contacting the Title IX Coordinator, Nondiscrimination Coordinator, Building Principal, Assistant Building Principal, Dean of Students, a Complaint Manager, or any staff member they feel comfortable approaching.
