MCUSD2: Rooted in Community, Growing Through Giving

Mattoon Community Unit School District #2 is comprised of six facilities, serving over 3,000 students and 500 across our community. From our Birth-to-3 support group to our regional school for high school juniors and seniors, we are proud to serve families at every stage of life. Our commitment is not only to education, but to building a stronger, more connected community for future generations.

This work is strengthened through the generosity of those who believe in our mission. Every contribution - whether big or small - directly impacts our ability to provide meaningful programs, support services, enhanced facilities, and innovative learning opportunities for all students. When you give or volunteer, you’re investing in a thriving future for our children and our community.

Make a Donation

Want to make a one-time or recurring donation? Check out how you can make an impact today:

  • LIFT Foundation

    • LIFT is a regional innovation and technology center available to High School Juniors and Seniors in Central Illinois.  Our goal is to connect students to career pathways and programs and give them access to earn dual credit, certifications, internships, work-based experiences, industry credentials, and leadership for the 21st century. Your generous donations will be used to allow students from 28 districts to attend without tuition costs.

  • Nancy Conlon Kindness For Kids Fund

    • The Nancy Conlon Kindness for Kids Fund was created to assist students at Mattoon Community Unit School District 2. Nancy, a long-time, beloved teacher in the district, passed away in October 2016. Her smile and upbeat personality were an inspiration to those who knew and loved her. Nancy had an enthusiasm for teaching and a penchant for inspiring student learning through her creativity.  She was a sensitive and generous human being who placed her students’ needs at the forefront.  Without fanfare or notoriety, Nancy would purchase items for students such as new clothing, shoes, or school supplies. The Nancy Conlon Kindness for Kids Fund is not only a memorial to Nancy but a tribute to all those teachers, administrators, and school personnel who have generously helped students to succeed. School personnel will be able to apply for grants that will directly help Mattoon students.
