MHS 2023 Graduate and Student-Athlete, Jack Helms signed in May with Lake Land College where he will continue his baseball career as a Pitcher. Helms has been playing baseball in Mattoon for the past twelve years, playing with the Mattoon Hit-Men, Mattoon Wildcats (MMS), Yard Goats 2023, and at MHS. Helms plans to study Mathematics in college. Helms stated, "I am very excited to continue my academic and baseball career at Lake Land! Thank you to all of my coaches and teammates for helping me to develop my skills and realize my love of the game. Thank you to my parents for supporting me through it all!"
