As parents and educators we share a common vision of our students being ready and successful in their future. As we have learned, the world that we live in and the future our students will live in are rapidly evolving. It is with our students' future in our sights that we also work at evolving so we are meeting our shared vision of “Life Ready” graduates. So the focus of our shared work is to add more opportunities, experiences, and personalization. This will allow our students to be ready, not to face the future we  faced upon graduation, but the one they will face. Values of responsibility, choice, accountability, initiative, resourcefulness, discipline, respect, mutual understanding, empathy, courage, creativity, cooperation, service to others, and humility help to guide us in this work to achieve the future we envision.

Finally, we want you to be informed about the most up to date safety protocols in place to ensure student safety this year. Effective August 4th, an executive order was delivered by Governor Pritzker stating that masks will be required indoors by all students, teachers, staff, and visitors.  MCUSD #2 Board of Education and administrative team will continue to work alongside local health officials as we implement the mandated mask order, while providing the opportunity for our children to learn and grow academically, socially and emotionally.
