Once again, due to weather, the pouring of the Sports Parking Lot at the high school has been pushed back to Thursday & Friday (7/28 & 7/29), instead of Tuesday & Wednesday.
Due to this, the following streets will be blocked off & shut down on those days: 25th street into the school,
26th street into school,
Walnut in front of school,
Circle drive in front of school,
and the entire senior parking lot.

Meet the new Mattoon High School Athletic Director, Trent Duckett!
Trent previously worked for our district from 2009 to 2015 as a Social Studies teacher. He was an assistant football coach for six years, JV softball coach for two years, and head softball coach for two years.
Most recently, Duckett worked as the St John's Lutheran School Principal from 2015 to 2022 and their Athletic Director from 2016 to 2022.
We are proud to welcome him back to the district!

Bageflest still has some volunteer opportunities for students needing service hours, families who want to promote volunteering together, or just community minded individuals.
Sign up to serve bagels Saturday morning, usher at one of the concerts, or work a shift in the souvenir booth. If you sign up by Tuesday, July 5 you will get a free Bagelfest T-shirt and students will get a certificate listing their service hours.
Contact the volunteer coordinator Clayton at 217-246-1150 or Tourism Office at 800-258-6286 and they will find the perfect spot for you.
Note for this summer: To access the new track you must use the north gate by the home bleachers. Please be advised, there is no parking in the sports lot as construction is currently underway. Thank you!
