Madisyn Frank, representing Mattoon Middle School (MMS), showcased exceptional skill and dedication at the IESA Girls Sectional E held at Willow Pond Golf Course in Rantoul on Thursday, September 4th.
Frank had a remarkable round, shooting an impressive 80, finishing just one stroke behind the leader. This performance not only highlighted her talent but also demonstrated significant improvement from her 2024 showing, where she bested her previous score by an outstanding 20 strokes.
Her strong finish, securing second place overall on the day, earned Frank a coveted spot in the IESA State Golf Tournament. She is set to compete at Metamora Fields on Thursday, September 11th. MMS extends its best wishes to Madisyn as she prepares for the state tournament.
