After two years of having a virtual event, the Special Olympics Family Festival event is returning in person to the grounds of Lake Land College this Saturday (9/17)!
It takes close to 2,000 volunteers to hold this event. The biggest volunteer need is currently a Friend-For-A-Day with a Special Olympics athlete. The volunteer will be assigned an Athlete to accompany them throughout the day. Together they will enjoy games, a parade, stage shows, lunch, and many other activities. A Friend-for-a-Day must be able to volunteer all day from 8 am until approximately 2:30 pm and must be 16 years old.

This is a great opportunity for any high school student especially if they need volunteer service hours.
This is a non-competition event with games, a parade, stage performances, karaoke, food, and much more.
