Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony Celebrates MHS Athletic Excellence

Mattoon High School (MHS) proudly welcomed six new members into its Athletic Wall of Fame during the 2026 Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Friday, January 9.

New members include Benjamin Capitosti, Madden Johnson, Cale Kimbro, Kameron Lathrop, Isabella Masse, and Blair Powers. In addition to honoring the newest inductees, Dave Vieth, former MHS Athletic Director, was also recognized for his induction into the Illinois Athletic Directors Association Hall of Fame.

The ceremony was held during a Mega-Night against Charleston High School, featuring boys' and girls' basketball games, along with performances by the MHS cheer team, dance team, and band.
