MMS All-State Chorus students represented Mattoon at the ILMEA State Festival in Peoria on January 30–31.
Seventh grader Charlotte Compton and eighth grader Wren Kinkley completed a rigorous district-level audition process this fall. Their top scores earned them a spot in the All-State Chorus, where they spent two days rehearsing for a spectacular performance at the Peoria Civic Center Arena.
Sixth graders Hannah Jeisy and Nate Hampton were nominated for the Sixth Grade All-State Chorus based on their excellent musicianship and positive leadership in the MMS Sixth Grade Chorus Club.
