10:00 a.m. Update:
Power has been restored at Mattoon High School.
All extracurriculars originally planned for this afternoon and evening will continue as planned. Regular school hours will resume on March 12.
Since today’s emergency day was utilized for just Mattoon High School, there is no required extra student attendance in May. We apologize for earlier communication stating otherwise that may have caused confusion. The last day of school will remain the same, Thursday, May 21, 2026.
