Mattoon Rotary recognizes one senior male and female each month at their luncheon as Students of the Month. Students are nominated by MHS staff based on outstanding academic achievement and citizenship.
For April, the honorees are Lily Durbin and Casey Horath.
Lily, daughter of Nicole Durbin, has been actively involved in FFA, Student Council, BIONIC, and Team Massive. Her future plans are to attend Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where she will major in Criminal Justice.
Casey, son of Dawn and Brett Horath, has served as Co-Lead for Team Massive and Team Captain for Varsity Soccer during his junior and senior years. He is also an active member of the National Honor Society. His future plans include attending Eastern Illinois University and majoring in Business Administration.
MHS is proud to celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of Lily and Casey. Congratulations to both on this well-deserved recognition!
