Mattoon Community Unit School District #2 encourages families to review their student's school supply list and begin preparing for the upcoming 2026–27 school year.

School supplies will once again be provided for all students at Franklin Preschool and for Grades K–5 with the exception of:
A backpack, change of clothes, and diapers/wipes (Franklin)
A backpack, lunch box (if bringing lunch from home), tennis shoes for PE (if not worn daily), and wired headphones with a 3.5mm jack if possible (K-5)
The first day back to school for the 2026-27 school year will be as follows:
Grades 1-12: August 12th
Kindergarten: August 13th
Franklin Preschool: August 17th
