Mattoon High School's JROTC and Mattoon High School Wavettes participated in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life at Peterson Park Aug. 21, 2021. The JROTC presented the colors at Relay. Earlier in the morning, they presented the colors in Charleston at the Run for the Fallen. The JROTC also presented the American Cancer Society with a check for $689 in funds they earned from a car wash last Saturday. The Mattoon High School Wavettes performed several routines at the Relay. Dwight Tell, MHS student and cancer survivor, introduced the JROTC and held one of the Relay for Life banners during the survivor lap.
