Staff from the Mattoon Public Library visited Riddle Elementary before school let out for the summer to help first-grade students sign up for library cards and distribute information about the summer reading program. 👩‍🎓 👨🏽‍🎓 Here are some important things to remember about Project Graduation tomorrow night: 🚪 Doors open at 10:30 and you MUST be checked in by midnight. 📱 If a student has signed up, but does not check-in, their guardians will be called. 💰 If a student leaves before the end of the event, they forfeit their money and prizes, and a guardian will be called. 🎉 If a student did not submit a permission slip, they may submit one at the door and attend, but they will not receive cash and prizes. 🩱 Students can bring a phone charger, swimsuit & towel if they want to swim. Students can also bring their own Nintendo Switch to use with the Y’s system. 🥤 NO outside drinks, snacks, blankets, tobacco, or vape products are allowed. 💼 Upon entering, any bags will be searched and every student will receive a drawstring bag courtesy of Sherri Branson - State Farm Insurance Agent and Brian Fogarty-State Farm Agent. 🛑 If a student is found with any illegal or unauthorized substances or items, a guardian will be called and the student will be removed. If a student is believed to be under the influence of any substance, law enforcement will be called. Activities include tournaments: 🏀 Basketball 🏐 Volleyball 🏸 Badminton ⭕️ Dodgeball 😎Spikeball As well as Knockerballs, inflatable games, casino games, yard games, video games, karaoke, movies, swimming and more- dress comfortably! We will draw for the car from KC Summers as well as a consolation prize of a trip from Pilson Auto Centers at approximately 4:30 a.m. and then students will be dismissed and receive their gifts and CASH! MHS is hosting a youth volleyball camp for girls entering grades 3-8 this July. This camp will focus on the fundamentals, teamwork, and individual skill development. The 3-day camp is open to girls entering 3-8 grade and will be led by the MHS girls' Volleyball coaching staff. Extra registration forms can be picked up from the MHS office and must be turned in to the same place by June 15, 2022. Cost is $40 per athlete & includes a shirt.
