Mattoon Middle School has a new puzzle in the Media Center for students to collaboratively finish! It is ALL WHITE! Once a student is able to add a piece to the puzzle, they can add their initials to that piece so at the end we will be able to see all of our students who contributed to the completion of the puzzle! #MCUSD2 #Mattoon #MMS

The Mattoon Middle School will be hosting 6th Grade Orientation tomorrow (April 26th) from 5:30-7:00 PM. Please arrive at the Wildcat Gym on time to ensure you don't miss anything. Students will be able to meet the teachers, practice opening lockers, tour the building, and enjoy a scavenger hunt while learning more about MMS. #MCUSD2 #Mattoon #MMS #Orientation

The turtles in the courtyard at Mattoon Middle School are making their annual appearance out of hibernation! We have an entire family of turtles and have spotted some babies already this spring! These turtles have been a part of the MMS family for about 2 decades and students look forward to them each Spring! They are fed by the media center (see "Broccoli" in the picture) and are enjoyed by all! #MCUSD2 #Mattoon #MMS

The Annual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Spring Fling Bazaar will be held this Saturday (4/23) at the Mattoon Eagles Club from 9 am-3 pm. There will be vendors, food, raffle items, and a silent auction. The DHH Students and staff work this event. Admission is free. All money earned through this event will go to support needs in our EIASE Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program located in the Mattoon Schools. There are over 40 baskets to bid on in the Silent Auction. Everything from fun local summer events and certificates from local restaurants, to baskets full of discounts on trips to nearby states. #MCUSD2 #Mattoon

The Mattoon Middle School is hosting a "Let's Glow" Dance this Friday (4/22/22) from 4-6 PM in the Hash gym. Tickets are $5 and will be sold during lunch the rest of this week. #MCUSD2 #Mattoon #MMS

Back from Spring Break today and there was a creative space open to students at MMS in the media center. They worked on comic book magnets to decorate the library. How cool are these!? MMS plans to have a DIY space set up with a new project every other week. The next one will be homemade Chinese finger traps. Students will get to keep all their projects! #MCUSD2 #Mattoon #MMS
