2022 Freshmen Orientation will be January 5, 2022 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at MHS.

This year celebrates 20 years of Read Across Mattoon! There will be an open house tonight, December 2nd from 4:30-6:00 at the Mattoon Public Library to celebrate this milestone! If you get a chance to stop by, please do so to say hello!

The 2nd Annual MMS Winter Wonderland will be December 16th from 6-8 PM. We invite all families and community members to drive-thru and experience the holiday fun! Hope to see you there!

Boys Basketball Academy Information:
My name is Coach Kroening and I wanted to welcome you to join us at the Boys Basketball Academy this year. We begin on Thursday, December 2nd from 6:00pm-7:00pm in the new gym. The academy is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys who tried out for the basketball team but were not chosen. Our program is focused on developing and building basic basketball fundamentals through various drills and scrimmages. We will meet a couple of times a week over the next few months. Full December schedules will be available in the office and/or at the first practice. Hope to see you there!
6th grade students rotate through all of our Essentials classes to be exposed to all of the wonderful opportunities MMS offers. Today FACS classes celebrated the end of their rotation with a Friendsgiving feast!


There will be no Stretch Time sessions November 22 and November 23. All sessions will resume Monday, November 29.
Congratulations to the following students who have finished Lexia power up: Jackson Zike, Cole Schaefer, Andrea Schrock. Power up is an ELA curriculum support utilized by students at MMS. Awesome job Wildcats!
