Strider Bikes

Pilson Powersports donated two complete Learn-To-Ride Programs, including Strider Learn-To-Ride Bikes, helmets, and curriculum to Arland D Williams Jr. and Riddle Elementary School last summer.

The bike unit for kindergarteners has now begun at the schools. This strategic timing helps it to be fresh as students head into summer break and are able to continue developing their skills.

Brett Poorman, PE Teacher at Riddle Elementary stated, "The kids have loved the opportunity to learn how to ride a bike. The donation has been an incredible addition to our PE curriculum, as it creates a different type of learning, outside of your typical PE skills. This experience will promote health and fitness at home, providing a new skill for students to practice over the summer."

All Kids Bike is a national movement on a mission to teach every child in America how to ride a bike in kindergarten PE class. Launched in 2017,  650 schools in all 50 states are actively running the All Kids Bike Kindergarten PE Program.

“Teaching kids to ride bikes can open the door to a whole new world.  Learning to ride builds independence, gets them outside, improves their physical and mental health plus it can be enjoyed together as a family” says Jamie Pilson, Owner of Pilson Powersports. “Supporting this program was a no-brainer and aligned perfectly with our purpose to make a positive impact on our teams, customers, and communities, this one definitely hits all 3. We believe this can transform kids’ lives and are excited to see the progress and grow the program”.
