Meet our new Riddle Elementary principal!
Kristin Kleiss is starting her 17th year in education! After graduating from Lake Land College and Eastern Illinois University, she taught 7th-grade science in Shelbyville for 6 years and then taught 8th-grade science at Mattoon Middle School for three years. In addition to teaching science, she was the Dean of Students for one year and was the Assistant Principal for the last six years at Mattoon Middle School.
While her passion is curriculum and instruction, she takes pride in building strong relationships so that students and staff reach their highest potential!
Mrs. Kleiss is a wife, mom, and dog mom to Grayson (9), Ava (12), and Molly (3-Goldendoodle). Outside of her professional life, she enjoys traveling, going to Illini games, golfing, playing pickleball, gardening, and reading good books!
