The Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) testing is soon approaching for our elementary schools during the weeks of March 14th and March 21st. Both buildings have fun-filled activities and exciting positive incentives for giving effort/grit throughout testing.
Something else we would like to share with our students to kick off the week of showcasing genius is a "Hype Video!"
We are asking for YOUR help! Please share a quick video providing helpful tips, encouragement, words of wisdom, etc. to our students taking IAR.
Please send any recordings to: jordanrahar@mcusd2.com
Videos must be sent in by Wednesday evening, 3/9
Thank you for your support of our students!

On Tuesday, Feb 22nd Riddle & Williams Elementary hosted a Family Book Night for parents and caregivers. This opportunity provided activities to introduce The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families through the work of renowned author Stephen Covey. During the in-person sessions, families participate in activities to demonstrate the 7 Habits while learning to apply them to their own unique family units. The online component provides support for families as they dig deeper into the 7 Habits at home. Facilitators of this program are Mrs. Laura Smith and Mrs. Andrea Orr. Funding is provided through a grant from the Southeastern Community Foundation.
The next 7 Habits of Effective Families Book Night will be held on March, 22nd at 6:30 pm. Even if you missed the previous event, you are still welcome to attend.
