EIU is excited to once again offer a scholarship at this year's Coles County Clash - an awesome event with a rich tradition of competition and community. The $2,000 scholarship drawing will only be open to seniors from Mattoon and Charleston High School, and the winners, one from each school, will be announced Friday evening, October 7, during halftime of the football game. All any student has to do is apply to EIU by Thursday, October 6. The application only takes about 20 minutes and is completely free, test scores optional, and no essays required! If a student has already applied to EIU, they don't need to do anything - they'll automatically be entered into the scholarship drawing! Students in Biochemistry class at MHS recently participated in a FAKE wound lab. The class is studying the Integumentary System which includes the 3 layers of skin, hair, and nails. In the lab, they had to determine their wound type and then what layers of skin would be damaged by their wound. #MCUSD2 #Mattoon #MHS
