STEAM Summer Camp was held at Riddle Elementary School from June 3-7. Students from both Riddle and Williams engaged in the Engineering Design Process to develop and create game remixes. ๐ฎ These games were based on classic favorites but with a creative twist designed by the STEAM Camp members. โจ๐
Using 3D printing, laser cutting, and graphic design skills, our talented campers brought their ideas to life. At the end of the week, students showcased and played their games with family and community members on Friday afternoon. ๐จ๏ธ๐๏ธ ๐
A big thank you to everyone who attended the showcase and to our generous sponsor, Land of Lincoln Credit Union, for making this camp free for all STEAM members. ๐๐

The Williams Elementary School Run Club had an incredible year! The number of students on the Busted Chart doubled, with over 60 students running over 35 miles! ๐๐๐โโ๏ธ
Special shoutout to Jax Wilson (pictured), the first kindergartner to achieve this milestone! The Top 25 Board was also very competitive, with Dylan Gonzalez leading the pack as the #1 runner out of 704 students, clocking in an impressive 73 miles! ๐

The 5th-grade elementary spring band concert with students from Riddle and Williams was held on May 7th, 2024. The students did a great job showcasing what they had learned throughout the year! ๐ท๐ฅ๐ถ

Williams Elementary students in Ms. McCoyโs classroom took on a courtyard renovation project this past semester, working to bring more color and fun to the space. Students came up with the idea of a sensory corner, new signage, a lending library, new seating, and more. After drafting a plan, they were overwhelmed by the outpouring of support they received. A student from the Manufacturing, Architecture, Construction, and Electrical class at LIFT constructed a โBusy Boardโ for the sensory area. The Lake Land College Print Shop worked on the signage, took students for a tour of the printing facility, and donated a portion of the costs. The MHS Welding class provided lawn ornaments they had created, and several parents donated time and books for the lending library. Plants were also purchased from the MHS Ag Plant Sale to help give the space new life. ๐ธ๐
We are proud of the leadership and initiative the students took to not just discuss and dream about improvements, but to put in the work to make it happen. Their hope behind the project is to provide another option for students wanting to extend beyond the classroom walls for years to come. We would also like to thank the many people who helped make this project possible! ๐ฑ๐ฟ
