Our Transportation Department found the golden ticket to the Chocolate Factory at Celebrate Downtown Mattoon's Trunk-or-Treat this past weekend! 🍫🎫🚗

The Riddle Bulletin Board crew has been supplying some building beautification to our cafeteria.🎨 Ella, Kamiaha, and Serenity brought their creative minds together to brainstorm some Fall ideas, and the result is a picture-perfect bulletin board that's adding a touch of magic to our Riddle cafeteria! 🖌️🍂 Big shoutout to this talented trio for their hard work and dedication. Thank you for making a difference! 🙌💚

Last week, young adventurers from Mrs. Kimball's and Miss Brewer's class at Franklin Preschool took a field trip to The Great Pumpkin Patch! 🌾🚜 They hopped on a wagon ride, made some new furry friends while observing a variety of farm animals, and enjoyed a picnic lunch. 🐮🐔🥪 At the end of the day, each student got to take home their very own mini pumpkin as a souvenir. 🧡🎃 Everyone had a fantastic time! 🤗✨

Big thanks to the Mattoon Chamber of Commerce for organizing the 20th Anniversary of the Business Expo at the Cross County Mall on October 5, 2023. 🎉 We were delighted to have representatives from the district, including Transportation, MHS, and LIFT Central Illinois, who had the opportunity to connect with many members of our community. 🤝🏢

Thanks to your donations, the Birth to 3 Program was recently able to pack over 70 crib bags for Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital. 🏥 Each of these bags were filled with a book for the newborns born throughout the month of October. 🍼📚 It's wonderful to welcome these precious babies into the world with a little extra warmth and comfort. 💕

Pictured are a couple of Riddle Elementary art students who have been working on their superhero themed WIG (Wildly Important Goals), School Wide Scoreboard. The Riddle Scoreboard is near the front entrance of the School. 🎨 Assistant Principal Mr. Rahar commented on the project, "A student was able to share the creative idea with me and then I shared that idea with Mr. Niemerg and he selected leaders. This was created and ready to go within only a few days! The passion, creativity, and art skill involved is amazing! The adults had a totally different idea, however the students had a MUCH better idea that matched our theme and inspired others. Thank you to Mr. Niemerg and all the students involved!" 🙌
