Over 6 TONS of food and supplies were delivered Wednesday for the Wildcat Den. This is through a partnership with the Eastern Illinois Area Foodbank.
The students, along with Mr. Bushue, pictured are some of the individuals who helped get all of this into the building! Big thanks to all those who made this happen.

Tomorrow (9/23) students across the district are participating in our 2022 Green and Gold Day, where they have volunteered to participate in various service projects throughout the community. We are so proud of them for "sharpening the saw" and helping others.

Franklin Preschool had their first family night last Thursday. Students and families enjoyed an "Encanto Sing-A-Long," as well as popcorn for the movie. Students were also able to take home a take-and-make instrument.
This helped the preschoolers learn about "Habit 7- Sharpening the Saw." It also helped to teach families "Habit 6-Synergize" and how to work together. Student leaders also helped to be door greeters, and snack helpers.

Students in Mrs.Wetzel’s 1st grade class at Williams made shape pizzas recently. Students had to build their own pizzas and add toppings of their choice. Then they had to count the number of each variety of topping and fill out a chart. Such a fun way to learn!

Throughout the school year Mattoon Rotary recognizes one Senior male and female at their monthly luncheon as "Students of the Month". Students are nominated by MHS staff and the selection criteria includes outstanding academic achievement and citizenship.
September's Rotary Student of the Month winners are Jaylyn Kimbro and Lincoln Scott. Congratulations to Jaylyn and Lincoln!
