Over 6 TONS of food and supplies were delivered Wednesday for the Wildcat Den. This is through a partnership with the Eastern Illinois Area Foodbank.
The students, along with Mr. Bushue, pictured are some of the individuals who helped get all of this into the building! Big thanks to all those who made this happen.

Tomorrow (9/23) students across the district are participating in our 2022 Green and Gold Day, where they have volunteered to participate in various service projects throughout the community. We are so proud of them for "sharpening the saw" and helping others.

Green and Gold Day will take place on Friday, September 23. Students will be taking part in community service projects together throughout the community.

Briggs Whitley, 8Blue student at MMS, represented MMS at the IESA Boys Sectional F Golf Event on Thursday, September 8th at the Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Paris, IL.
Leading up to the event, Briggs worked with his father, Chris Whitley (who also served as a volunteer observer at the IESA event) to find his swing. He went into play on Thursday confident, and he finished in the middle of the pack, 33rd out of 58 golfers. Briggs was coached for the day by a former MHS Golf Coach and RES Staff member, Jordan Coleman.
We appreciate Briggs representing Mattoon Middle School as our sole participant this year, and we look forward to following his golf career as he moves on to MHS next year!

Mrs.Matteson's class at MMS are enriching themselves in kindness and community work. They painted kindness rocks and put it in the Hannah Mansell Memorial garden. Mrs Matteson is teaching her kids a very important message and helping her memory live on.
