Staff from the Mattoon Public Library visited Riddle Elementary before school let out for the summer to help first-grade students sign up for library cards and distribute information about the summer reading program. The public library is offering students up to age 18 a free library card this summer. Stop by and pick one up! The summer reading program begins June 8.

MHS is hosting a youth volleyball camp for girls entering grades 3-8 this July. This camp will focus on the fundamentals, teamwork, and individual skill development. The 3-day camp is open to girls entering 3-8 grade and will be led by the MHS girls' Volleyball coaching staff. Extra registration forms can be picked up from the MHS office and must be turned in to the same place by June 15, 2022.
Cost is $40 per athlete & includes a shirt. Please make checks payable to MHS Volleyball.

Congrats to our MMS students that placed at the IESA 4A Track State Finals in East Peoria on Friday!
Jackson Morgan (7th grade) placed 6th in the 7th grade Boys 4A High Jump at East Peoria. He jumped 5ft 3in.
Demri Sanders (8th grade) placed 7th in the 8th grade Girls 4A Hurdles at East Peoria. Her time was 17.59.
Mitchell Clapp (7th grade) threw a 121 ft 8in throw to place 2nd on Friday at the IESA 4A Track State Finals in East Peoria.

The students in Mrs. Matteson’s science class at MMS have been working on the
ultimate predator project. They created their own creature with
adaptations for the environment. We don't know about you, but we're staying away from the Long-Tailed Spiky Bear.
