One Stop Community Christmas provides a wonderful Christmas for families in 7 counties, including Coles County! In 2022, they helped 1,092 families, including 2,859 children.

Riddle Elementary 4th and 5th-grade students are invited to participate in the Illinois Readers Choice Program, the Bluestem Award. For each Bluestem book read, students answer questions about the book and are entered into a monthly drawing for free books. Pictured are the drawing winners from the month of March. Students also recently voted for their favorite book. The winning book, chosen by students across Illinois, was "Twins" written by Varian Johnson and illustrated by Shannon Wright.
